Process Design
Ensuring constructability and operability through well engineering design is vital for the success of any project.
By bringing in asset operations and engineering expertise at the earliest stage we ensure our solutions are safe, technically sound, fit-for-purpose and cost effective.
Whether you require a field evaluation study, well and completion design, or our opinion on how best to approach specialist engineering – let our people become the energy behind your next project.

Process Design-Main Process unit in H₂O₂
-
Hydrogenation Unit
Working Solution is hydrogenated by Hydrogen in a Reactor at elevated temperature and pressure in presence of Palladium catalyst. The Working Solution is cooled and Palladium catalyst is filtered in primary, secondary and polish/safety filters before entering the Oxidation section. A small stream of this Working Solution is circulated through a Reversion Unit to revert unwanted Quinones formed due to side reactions to useful Quinones.
-
Oxidation Unit
Hydrogenated Working Solution is oxidized by compressed Process Air in a counter current Oxidizer under controlled conditions to form Hydrogen Peroxide. The Off gas from the Oxidizer is passed through a Solvent Recovery Unit to recover traces of Working Solution from the solvent laden Air. Clean solvent free Air is vented to the atmosphere from the Solvent Recovery Unit
-
Extraction Unit
Working solution along with H2O2 from Oxidizer is sent to the Extraction section for extracting the Hydrogen Peroxide from the Working Solution by De-ionized water in acidic condition in a counter current Extractor to obtain 30 to 35 % concentration (w/w) Crude Hydrogen Peroxide (CHP).
-
Product Distillation Unit
The product distillation plant is a separate unit, operating independent of the main process plant and located near it but not combined with it. Feed is (35-40) % crude hydrogen peroxide. The distillation system is operating under vacuum and consists of three major pieces of equipment, viz. an Evaporator, a liquid/gas Separator and a Distillation still.
